The following are items that must be included in the construction phase for which we found no provisions made in the submitted drawi,,gs. 1. Plans referred to and examined by this office contain no provisions for the alteration for the automatic sprinkler system. Plans for the installation of said system must be submitted to and approved by this office prior to installation. Please coordinate this with the sprinkler contracto, so vie do not have to stop their work for lack of approved working drawings. 2. Plans referred to and examined by this office contained no plans for heating or air conditioning systems. Unless electric baseboard heat is employed, complete mechanical system plans for the HVAC equipment and duct work must be submitted and approved prior to installation. (Ref, Sec. 302 UMC) 3. All heat producing and electrical equipment and appliances installed in conjunction with the construction or occupancy of this project must be approved by Underwriters laboratories Inc . or other nationally recognized testing agency and installed in accordance with the testing agency's specifications. (Ref. Sec. 502 'JMC) 4. All doors shown on the drawings must be openable from the inside for immediate exit at all times without the use of a key, special knowledge or effort. (Ref. Sec. Regarding the finish hardware prescribed for the exterior doors , key-operated deadlocks are not permitted unless there is a sign postei on or over the door reading, "THIS DOOR MUST REMAIN UNLOCKED DURING BUSINESS HOURS" in letters not less than one inch in height on a contrasting back ground. (Ref. Sec. 3304 UBC) 6. In all wood-framed walls and partitions firestoppir,g consisting of 2-inch nominal lumber must be installed at all floor and ceiling levels. Penetrations in this prescribed firestopping to accommodate wiring, plumbing or other similar utility runs must be packed with noncombustible materials in an approved manner so as to prevent the passage )f flame. (Ref. Sec. 2516 UBC) 7. Inspection and approval of construction by a representative of this office is required: (a) prior to the cover of any new framing elements following the installation of all utility runs which will be concealed within wall and partition cavities; (b) upon completion of construction and prior to occupancy of the tenant space. (Ref. Sec. 305 UBC) 8. There must be a floor or landing on each side of all doors. The floor or landing must not be more than one inch lower than the threshold of the doorway unless serving access for the physically handicapped. (Ref. Sec. 3304(h) UBC) 9. The tenant space number must be prominently displayed on the street front where it: is readily visible to drivers and officers of responding fire apparatus and other emergency vehicles. (Ref. Sec. 10,280 UFC) 1.0. A fire extinguisher having a minimum rating of 2A-IOB:C must be placed in an accessible location within plain view. (Ref. Sec. 10.3C1(a) UFC) ll. One set of approved plans bearing *he stamps of the City of Tigard Building Department and this office must be maintained on the project site throughout all phases of construction and must be made available to building and fire inspecto,.-s and for reference during required construction inspections. (Ref. Sec. 303 UBC) 12. Prior to the use and occupancy of the project space, a certificate of occupancy or other written instrument of approval must be obtained from the City of Tigard Building Department. (Ref.
