The following items were noted and/or discussed:
1 . 1 Fiberglass duct is being used below the floor. slab. I questioned
if this had the strength required. They indicated that they are
being careful not to step on it during installation.
1 . 2 Discussed with Dan Clausen and Stan Wryn the phone call I had from
the Building Department . They were indicating an addition of a
toilet which was nut approved on the architectural plans. We need
to show a correction if this is to be added.
1 . 3 Doot #9 will have to be relocated southerly in order to give
adequate depth for this water closet room. I suggest the
arrangement as diagrammed on this sheet .

1 .2 The exit door at the southwest corner of the west wing #12 shall have an
exit device and cylinder as specified in Item 1 .1 above if it does not now
have exit hardware.
1 . 3 The folding door on each, side of Sanctuary #11 shall have stops so that a
minimum 3-ft. opening is mainta;ned at the south end at all times.
1 .4 Relocate the windows in the west wall of Office #16 and Pastor #17 so that
there is a minimum of 12" between door and window. This would make safety
glass unnecessary.

instructions to provide a Class B roof.
1 .14 Clarification: The wall studs in the front and back of the baptismal are
2x6 studs @ 16" o.c.
1 .15 Clarification: Under slab fiberglass duct shall be approved for
underground use.
1 .16 Clarification: All reinforcing steel to be tied in place in conformance
with ACI Detail Manual.
1 .17 Clarification: If contractor desires to use staples in lieu of nails, a
specification and stapling schedule will need to be sulnitted for Ci+-y
approval.

A plan review has been conducted or the above referenced project; the

1. ,The existing tax lot 1111 must be consolidated with tax lots 1100 and
1200, or lot lines adjusted to provide a minimum 40 foot yards around the
jentire structure, or 1 hour fire resistive exterior walls will be
required. A copy of the recorded consolidation or lot line adjustment

This is a Fire and Life Safety Plan Review and is based on
the 1985 editions of the Fire and Life Safety Code (UBC ) ,
Mechanical Fire and Life Safety Code (UMC ), Uniform Fire

Install stops on sliding doors ( east/west wines ) so that a
net clear width opening will be maintained Fe„ exiting the

Outside exit doors from the east and west wings shall not be
equipped with latch or lock unless it is panic hardware.

A plan review has been conducted for the above refs-cenced project; the
following shall apply.
1. The existing tax lot 1101 must be consolidated with tax lots 1100 and
1300; 'or lot lines adjusted to provide a nialmsm '40 loot yards atowA the
entire structure, or 1 hour fire resistive exterior walls will be
required. A copy of the recorded consolidation or lot line adjustment
shall be submitted prior to issuance of building permits. (Note: Lot
line adjustments require approval by City Planning Department.)

2. Exit signs shall be provided over doors as shown on plans.
J. Panic hardware shall be required on all exit doors from Sanctuary 11,
except existing double doors.
4. Folding wall between the Sanctuary 11 and West Wing 12 shall have a
permanent stop so a minimum 3 foot opening is maintained at south end of
west wing 1.2.
5. Windows lose than 12 inches from doors shall be safety glass (i.a.s,
exterior windows for rooms 16, 17, re.lites on doors 2, 3.
6. Return ends of handrails to wall or post.
7. Provide sign for handicap parking stall as per section 3108.
8. 1 hour fire resistive construction required under baptismal stairway.
9. Handrail required on full run of baptismal stairway, including first two
risers to landing.
10. Vapor barrier required on warm side of insulation on vault asilitig.

11. Provide ventilation for all rafter spAces on vault ceiling.
12. Fire retardant roof covering required. (Minimum Class A or B asphalt
shingles or Class C asphalt shingles per 3203[e]5.)
13. Provide wall construction detail on baptismal (stud size, spacing, etc.) .
14. Underslab ducting shall be approved for use under ground, or be encased in
minimum 2 inches of concrete.
15. All reinforcing steel to be tied it place.
