Gentlemen:
A fire and life safety plan review was conducted on the above captioned
project for compliance with the 1985 editions of the Uniform Building Code
(UBC) , Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC) , and the Uniform Fire Code (UFC) , as
amended by Washington County Fire District No. 1.'s Ordinance eb-1.
Plans are approved conditional to the following items:
1. Automatic Sprinkler Plans: plans referred to and examined by this
office contain no provisions for the alteration or installation of
: x eutumatic sprinkler system. Not less than three setts of plans for the
installation shall be submitted to this office for approval- prior to
installation. UBC 302(b)
2. Door Swing: Door at the end of corridor. Ik647 stall swing in the
direction of egress from suite.
3. Locking of Door 0647a: Door 0647a shall not be locked or rendered
impassable in that if this door is ever locked, it will create a dead-
end corridor over 30 feet in length.
4. Exit Door Hardware: All. doors shown on the drawings roust be openable
from the inside for immediate exit at all times without the use of a
key, special. knowledge, or effort. UAC Sec, 3304
5. Exterior Exit Door: Hardware for the exterior doors and key operated
deadlocks may be permitted where there is a sign posted on or over the
door reading, "THIS DOOR MUST REW.IN TNLOCRED DURING BUSINESS HOURS" in
letters not less than one-inch in height. on a contrasting background.

6. Approved Plans_ on Job Site: One set of approved plans bearing the
stamps of the building d-partment issuing the construction permit and
this office must be maintained on the project site throughout all
phases of constr.uct.on and must be made available to building and fire �.
inspectors for referent_ during required construction inspections. UBC

7. Inspections Required: Inspection and appro-•al of construction by a a
representative of this of--ice is required: (a) prior to the cover of
any new framing elements following the installation of all utility runs
which wil'. be concealed within wall and partition cavities; (b) upon !
completion of construction and prior to occupancy of the tenant space.

8. Required Occupancy Certificate: Prior to the use and occupancy of the
project (space) , a ce -tificate of occupancy or other written instrument
of approval must be obtained from the building department issuing the
