We are providing this information so that you will be informed and to acknowledge that the conduit location behind the curb falls within either the five foot additional right.-of-way or the five foot additional utilities r!asement that Ted Nelson has indicated he will be providing the City. In order to accommodate your recent proposals for constructing under ground facilities in the vicinity of the Bonita and 72nd Avenue intersection and Bonita to the east with our on-going paving project, we have instructed our contractor (Colum.bia Excavating) to pave initially only the first lift in the subject construction area. It is understood that General Telephone will then saw-cut the first lift, place their facilities, provide compacted crushed rock backfill and replace the first lift between the dates of January 3 through January 14 . It appears that while inconvenient to our contract, this procedure benefits both the City of Tigard and General Telephone Company in the long run and saves having to cut the newly paved facility.
