From scaling the drawings , it appears that the landings at the exiting door located in the proximity of grid lines A/2 , door assembly 1176 and door assembly 117C are insufficient in length . Where doors swing out over landings , the landings must have a length of not less than five ( 5 ) feet . (Ref . Sec . 3304 UBC ) 3 . the deadlocks proposed for door assemblies 117 and 117A must be of the indicating types ; that is , distinguishable as be- ing locked when in the locked position . In addition , a sign must be posted over these door assem- blies reading "This door must remain unlocked during busi - ness hours" in letters not less than one inch in height on a contrasting background . (Ref . Sec . 3304 UBC ) 4 . The proposed "egg crate" ceiling which , it is our under- standing , will be suspended below the automatic sprinkler system , must be listed by Underwriters Laboratories , Inc . for installation below automatic sprinklers . Certification of such listing must appear on ceiling panels and shipping cartons . ( Ref . Sec . 10 . 308 UFC ) 5 . One set of approved plans must be maintained on the pro- ject site throughout all phases of construction and must be made available to building and fire inspectors for reference during required construction inspections . (Ref . Sec . 303 UBC ) 6 . Inspection and approval of construction by a representative of this office is required : ( a ) prior to the cover of any new framing elements following the installation of all util - ity runs which will be concealed within wall and partition cavities ; ( b) prior to opening for business .
