Economic conditions were such that the owner could not borrow money for the project at a rate that would justify the investment . As a result of this, we request that you refund a portion of the building permit fee and the sewer connection fee . The total building permit fee was $313 .74 . Included in this amount wRs $1.89 .00 for the building fee, $1.22 .85 for the plan check, and $1 .89 for State Surcharge. The $189 .00 building fee should be refunded to us . The sewer connection fee was $1,400 .00, which included a $50 -OC inspection fee . The entire connection fee should be refunded to US . We were told that there is no provision for sewer connection fee refunds, but this is grossly unfair, if this is the case . The sewer connection that we were granted h.as undoubtedly been given to someone else . Obviously they were charged the sewer connection _ -e, and therefore, we are entitled to a full refund .
