Dear Mr. bey:
This letter is in reference to our meeting of October 19, 1988 at the above
referenced address.
The purpose of our meeting was to determine what code deficiencies might exist
in the condominium unit, which was apparently converted from a storage room to
a dwelling unit. There is no record of any building, permits obtained for the
conversion. An electrical permit and inspection notice was found in the
breaker box.
The following was noted which will. be required to be corrected.
1.) The single hung bedroom windows must be adjusted so both will open to
a fuli Z-'-inch clear height.
2) A smoke detector must be wired to the building power source.
3) The bathroom exhaust fan must be venter) to the exterior of t e
building.
4) The combined living, dining and kitchen area is lacking in natural
light and ventilation.
It is my opinion that the addition of an l 1/2-foot by 5-foot window
on the north side of the entrance dour; and expanding the window on
the south stae of the entrance door to a 5-foot by 5-foot one (both
windows to be 1/2 openabl(0 , and replacing the present entrance door
with ore which has 1.5 square feet of glazed area, would be an
a,-ceptable amount of light and ventilation.
