of the Fire and Life Safety Code (UDC) , Mechaniral Fire and Life Safety Code

A fire and life safety plan review was conducted on the above-
captioned project for compliance with the 1985 editions of the
Uniform Building Code (UAC), Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC), and
Uniform Fire Code (UFC) as amended by TuUlatin Rural Fire Protec-
tiorl District's Ordinance 86-5.
The revised plans are apprc,ed as submitted subject to the following
items.
1 . Mechanical. Plans Required: Plans referred to and examined by
this office contained no plans for heating or air condition-
ing systems. Unless electric baseboard heat is employed,
complete mechanical system plans for the HVAC equipment and
duct work must be submitted to and approved by this office
prior to installation.

e.lettrical equipment and appliances installed in conjunc-
tion with the construction or occupancy of this project

NOTE: It was noted during a pre-plan review inspection
that propane fire radiant, heater was heir►g used to heat
the showroom area. First of all, Uniform Mechanical. Code
does not allow unvented portable heaters of this type to
be used in this type of occupancy, Secondly, propane in
the quantity of the bottle being used and the way it is
being used if; not allowed by the Uniform Fire Code. An
approved, permanently installed, adegt-.ately sized heating
Nyetem shall be installed in this building to properly
heat it in accordance with requirements of rite Uniform
Building Code.
