I observed that the lots had been excavated for the construction of a single family dwelling. A small portion of the natural grade above the excavation had been disturbed and some down both sides. 1 checked with our office and obtained the address and found that the permit process had been initiated. The permit numbers are Lot 66- MST97-0345 and Lot 67 - MST97-0348. Permits have not been issued for either property. On Monday, October 27, 1997, I contacted Chuck Buckallen of Unified Sewage Agency concerning this matter. He stated that he would check the lots in question and address any erosion problems. I also contacted Cd Freeman of Sierra Pacific and was informed that Windwood I Ionics is the General Contractor for the construction of the two houses. On Monday, October 27, 1997, I performed a thorough walk thru of these two lots and observed that there is some sloughing of the dirt at all of the cut areas where dirt has been removed. It does not appear to be any more than would be expected for normal sloughing. I also observed a few points where water had started to form points of erosion that should be addressed before it creates problems. At the bottom of the cuts, inside the curb, mud has started to puddle at a point near the storm drain in the street. On 'F'uesday, October 28, 1997, I spoke with Dale Richards of Windwood Homes and he informed me that the changes to his plans were complete and would be resubmitted today. He hopes to start construction within two weeks. I expressed the concerns of the erosion problem and suggested he place straw bales at areas where points of erosion were forming. He stated he would do so as soon as possible and would place Bio bags at areas where mud could overflow to the street.
