Your letter of. MarZh�7, 1995, to the Engineering Department refers to a
wall on Lots 17 and 13. The construction of the wall occurred in
conjunction with construction of the houses, not as part of the
subdivision development . Therefore, it falls under the jurisdiction of
the Building Division.
You are welcome to review the subdivision file at any time. Please
contact Diane Jelderks, Engineering Department Secretary, before coming
to City Hall, so that the file can be removed from storage and placed at
the front counter for your review. In the file you will find that the
City released all bonds on the subdivision work on April 21, 1993 .
A search of our files reveals th..t no perrits were obtained or
inspections performed for any retaining walls on these lots . A site
inspection revealed that an approximately 4 -0" high ;oncrete retaining
wall and various wooden retaining walls have been constructed. Some of
these walls require a permit . At this time the City has not taken any
action to have these walls brought into compliance. Ic is our desire
that the issue be T:,s ''.:ed between your clients and the builder. Of
course, we will necl to be apprised of the proposed solution, so that
proper permits and inspections will be provided.
Construction of the dwellings was approved under permits MST 9C-0366,
( issued 11/19/91 for lot 18) and MST 91-0291 (issued 4/2/92 for lot 17) .
Final approvals and Certificates of Occupancy were granted 5/14/92 and
9/8/92 , respectively. These files are on microfiche and are available
at the pubii,� counter at City Hall.
