We agreed that we would accept the following as an alternative method of construciton(SECTION
R104.11)when converting a Group U garage to living space under the OREGON RESIDENTIAL
SPECIALTY CODE: A.energy trade-offs to be used in lieu of slab edge insulation;walls R-15,
ceilings R-49,windows.036 and doors.020. B.waterproofing paint to be used in lieu of floor vapor
barrier provided it can be demonstrated to meet the required perm rating. C.all other code
requirements must be met for the proposed type of use,including but not limited to:light and
ventilation,smoke detection,and emergency egress. D.site specific and climatic requirements will be
left to the disgression of the building official. O
