The building as submitted on January 18, 2006 did not meet code as submitted per SR101.3.1 and
Table 503, there for could not be built as submitted.
History
The Plans were submitted as SR-2, 5A construction,the code requires SR-2 be built per I-2
requirements and SR appendix (SR101.2.1 (2)),Table 503 requires I-2 construction of a 3 story
building to be Type I construction.After a quick review of building submittal the building did not
meet code,therefore this building could not be reviewed as submitted and without the
documentation from the State classifying the building as a different classification as required per
SR101.3 we have to classify and review this building under a Group SR-2 per SR101.3.1.
Requested information from Elite Care LLC,Bill Reed to submit documentation from the state
classifying the building as SR-1 for review under I-lcatagory as they are requesting. Received letter
dated March 9, 2006,with City of Tigard received stamp of March 13, 2006 from the State of
Oregon classifying the building use as SR-1 under Section requirements SR101.3.

and therefore could remain 36"based on chapter 10 section 1005 and 1016.2 ex(2).

As a separate issue in our counter meeting today of 8/8/06 you are in agreement
With our exit corridor width of 36" on the ground floor(rather than 72"wide)with the understanding
And commitment by Ownership that the ground floor units are for staff and employees only
And that all Assisted Care Residents will reside on the upper two floors.
Per our discussion,you will confirm this with a reply to my email.
