Hello Dan, please find attached ceiling bracing detail for city comment#1 (re word doc attached for ref) regarding the
ceiling seismic bracing. See below from our structural engr recommending the compression strut addressing 'the hgt to
deck is 30'; note in detail is 16 ga stud.
As a reminder,#2 is NA since storefront and soffit framing are existing to remain,they are to receive the new MOZ mtl.
panels only.
Please advise on approval or if any further clarification is required.

Kevin,
The splay wires will still work, but the compression vertical should be a 3 5/8—16 gage stud for that long of a
distance. You could go to a lighter stud but then you would need additional bracing members tying the verticals
together.
