CONTRACTOR ACTIVITY,OBSERVATIONS,CONCLUSIONS,RECOMMENDATIONS
I made this visit at the request of Don Durst to observe the subgrade for lot 147 a single family residential lot at
Summit Ridge. While on site, I met with the excavation contractor and with Don Durst of DRH.
At the time of my arrival, the contractor had just completed excavation of the lot to subgrade elevation. I observed
and probed the subgrade with a Y2-inch diameter steel foundation probe. The subgrade was medium stiff to stiff
native silt except at the lowest bench, for the rear continuous footing, which was weathered rock on the western half.
In my opinion, the lot has been prepared in general accordance per our recommendations and will support lightly
loaded residential foundations as intended. Lot 147 is ready for the placement of foundation forms.
