JOB#: 16-4164 WEATHER:

Inspection Notes: (Include location,testing data,substitutions/deviations,materials,and methods of construction,conformance statement,etc.)
TYPE OF OBSERVATION: Foundation Subgrade
GeoPacific geotechnical engineer Jim Imbrie on site to observe the preparation of foundation subgrade. I provided
recommendations to the earthwork subcontractor to excavate to stiff, native subgrade and place approximately 4 to 6
inches of 4"-0 crushed aggregate. A layer of%"-0 crushed aggregate will be placed over the 4"-0. Based on my
observations, foundation subgrade has been adequately prepared and is suitable for further construction.

TEST TYPE: LF=Lot Fill SF=Structural Fill ST=Sanitary Trench DT=Storm Trench WT=Water Trench RF=Roadway Fill
RW=Retaining Wall Backfill PS=Pavement Subgrade BC=Base Course FT=Franchise Trench
REMARKS:
GeoPacific was onsite to conduct nuclear density testing of backfill in the area of the footing placement. 4" rock was
placed directly beneath the tested material, which was 3/4"crushed rock at approximately 7"thick.Test results met
project specifications for compaction at the locations tested.
