During a meeting and site visit at the current storage facility Christenson Oil,the following types of
materials and types of storage were observed and determined as intended for storage in the Oregon
Business Park, Building 2 in Tigard,Oregon.
• Motor oils,hydraulic oils,gear oils, anti-freeze,grease, absorbent clay or diatomaceous earth.
• The materials are intended to be stored as palletized storage
• No rack storage is intended
• Containers on pallets include:
o 55 gallon relieving-style metal drums,on pallets or on ground, maximum 3-high
o 16 gallon relieving-style metal drums(120 lb. "keg"),on pallets or on ground
o 5 gallon relieving-style metal"bucket", palletized
o 5 gallon plastic"bucket",palletized
o 275 gallon plastic IBC(Intermediate Bulk Container),expected approximately 20
o 1 quart plastic, 12 in cardboard case,on pallets,varies up to approximately 84/pallet
o 1 quart plastic,6 in cardboard case,on pallets,varies up to approximately 125/pallet
o 1 gallon plastic,36 in cardboard case,on pallets,varies up to approximately 36/pallet
o Sacked absorbents(non-combustible)
• Approximately 580 pallets maximum total
Motor oils are Class IIIB combustible liquids. Although a thorough examination of each product was not
performed, no Class IIIA or lower flash point liquids were directly observed.
