Albertina Kerr Centers have requested the replacing the Maglocks with Delayed Egress MAGLOCKS installed on the three exit doors at 13410 SW 76`h. Ave. All Locks on windows have been removed. The Delayed Egress Electromagnetic Lock is a fail safe device. In normal operation condition with power, the door is locked, the local buzzer is off. A sign per NFPA 101 will be attached at the three doors that reads"PUSH UNTIL ALARM SOUNDS DOOR CAN BE OPENED WITHIN 15 SECONDS". The exit sequence starts with a slight push to the door. A nuisance delay period can be set for 0, 1, 2 or 3 seconds as defined by the local building code. During this time the local buzzer will pulse, and the local alarm will be energized. If pressure on the door is withdrawn during this period the system returns to normal conditions. This is considered accidental triggering. If pressure is maintained for longer than the set nuisance delay, an irreversible release delay sequence begins. This delay is for 30 seconds with permission of the Authority Having Jurisdiction. Pressure is no longer required on the door. The remote relay de-energizes.The local buzzer changes from pulse to steady. The lock releases when the release delay time ends. The local buzzer stops and the local alarm relay will de-energize.The system relock is defined by the local code. The Fire Alarm Control Panel relay will be used to remove power to all doors. No special abilities are needed to open doors, during Fire Alarm conditions. The lock delays will not affect egress. Enclosed are three copies of submittals. Thank you Tom Gudge (503)-750-5407 tomg@metrogates.com MPJOHN KRUEGER ETRO 2525 NE COLUMBIA BLVD. Product is intended for indoor use only. 1. Refer to Sub Assembly Installation Instructions for mounting Rev. MS050913. 2. Connect the DC output of the UL Listed power supply to the terminals marked [- DC input +] carefully observing polarity. 3. Connect door strikes (Fail-Secure) positive to terminals marked [I through 5 Pos. (+) DC Output (Alarm)] and negative to [NEG. 1 through NEG. 5]. 4. Connect door holders (fail-safe) positive to terminals marked [6 through 10 Pos. (+) DC Output (Stand-by)] and negative to [NEG. 1 through NEG. 5]. 5. To trigger the MOM5 from a FACP connect signaling circuit of FACP to inputs marked [NEG. (-)] and [POS. (+)] input. Polarity is shown in alarm condition. Put wires coming to each terminal on different sides of the screw. 6. To trigger the MOM5 using a supervised dry contact connect the 2.2K resistor in series for a [NCJ trigger input and in parallel for N.O. trigger input. 7. Connect the auxiliary devices that are to be triggered by the MOM5 to the terminals marked [NO & C] for normally open outputs and terminals marked [NC & C] for normally closed output. 8. This relay will energize when the MOM5 is triggered. 9. Connect trouble reporting device to the terminals marked [Power Fail]. Connect to the [NO & C] for normally open and [NC & CJ for normally closed output. 10. This relay will switch when power is lost to the MOM5. Note: This product is a UL Listed Sub-Assembly for use with Altronix UL Listed power supplies as indicated in the installation manuals for the power supply. Input Neg(), Applying voltage to terminals marked Neg (-) input Pos (+)FACP signaling output in Pos (+) polarity shown will yield the same results as initiating trigger(mentioned above). Ne (— 1 through 5 Supplies constant negative (-) voltage. Pos (+ DC output(alarm) Supplies positive (+ voltage when dry input or fire alarm wet trigger input. Pos (+) DC output Supplies positive (+)voltage in normal condition. Power is removed when either (stand-by) input trigger is activated. NC, C, NO When the MOM5 is triggered terminals marked [C and NO] will close and the terminals Dry output marked [C and NC] will open. This output is used to trip auxiliary devices. e.g. HVAC Shutdown, Elevator Recall etc. Form"C" contacts used for signaling when no voltage is present at —DC input + NC, C, NO terminals. Under normal conditions, terminals marked [NO and C] are open, [NC and C] Power Fail are closed. An occurance of trouble condition causes terminals marked [NO and C] to close and terminals marked [NC and C] to open.
