Upon arrival, I observed the footings are being formed and the cut subgrade was covered with a thin layer of crushed rock. Exposed cut subgrade at the excavation sidewalls consisted of brown silt and clay. I used a Ya"diameter steel foundation probe to evaluate consistency of the subgrade soil. Probed soil was generally observed to be medium stiff to stiff based on resistance to penetration of the probe. See attached site plan. Based on our observations and probing, the subgrade for Lot 23 observed today,was prepared in accordance with our geotechnical recommendations.
