MEETING DATE/TIME: Thursday, October 15 at 5:00 p.m.
MEETING LOCATION: Tigard Permit Center—Conference Room #4

1. CALL TO ORDER
This meeting was called to order at 5:00pm.
2. ROLL CALL
In attendance:Adam Stack,Nicole Binthff,Mike Coloma, Zahra Hashmat, Sarah Oh, Zack Dean, and Holly
Polivka (Parks Board)
Staff: Kent Wyatt, Councilor Henderson.
3. MINUTES
Approved minutes from October 1 meeting.
4. OLD BUSINESS:
Discussed ways of presenting the Youth Spotlight certificate to Mallory Matheson.
Reviewed TYAC membership and requirements for the interview process to pick valuable members to
manage the minimum amount of 20 members.
Confirmed fundraising event at Burgerville for My New Red Shoes.
Holly Polivka (Parks Board) discussed the role of the Parks Board,upcoming ballot measure on
recreational center, and encouraged TYAC members to attend Parks Board meeting.
Metro staff Noelle Dobson and Addie Shrodes discussed regional transportation planning and ways to
involve the youth.
Decided on a Lego theme for the official Halloween Room.
Scheduled an informal meeting for 10/29 at Tigard High School.
5. NEW BUSINESS:
Brainstormed individuals deserving of the Youth Spotlight award in October.
Discussed the need for an `Adopt a Highway' clean up on Main Street. TYAC will vote on a time and date.
Confirmed holding a fundraiser at Burgerville and possibly Jamba Juice.

This meeting was adjourned at 5:40 p.m.
