■ Average water use was 9.99 million gallons per day (mgd). Demand peaked at 10.85
mgd. Tigard had sufficient supply to meet this demand.
■ This year Tigard has pumped 84 million gallons (mg) of groundwater (no water has
been injected in ASR 1) from aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) well 1 and 103 mg
of injected water from ASR well 2. There is approximately 100 mg of injected water
remaining in ASR well 2. This is about a 46-day supply.
■ There is typically a drop in demand before Labor Day. However, this has been an
unusual year, and demand has been difficult to predict.

■ Staff made improvements to the zone maps
■ UPS devices will be replaced on an annual basis
Commissioner Henschel suggested Tigard purchase the type of UPS that has the capability
to test itself and provide an alert if it fails.
5. Informational Items
Mr. Rager provided feedback regarding the question about snacks. He explained that the
finance director said that any snacks provided more frequent than quarterly would be
taxable. Commissioner Henschel suggested the city could provide some snacks on a
quarterly basis and in between those periods, the board members could bring snacks.
Mr. Goodrich reported on the Oregon Health Authority and the state water system survey.
Because of the boil water advisory in April,Tigard was not eligible as an "outstanding
performer" within their award system. The state found three small deficiencies that were
easily and quickly remedied. None of the deficiencies were considered a threat to public
health.
In response to an inquiry from Commissioner Henschel, Mr. Goodrich explained the
protocols developed and who would fill his role in the event he is unavailable. Mr.
Goodrich said he will send an e-mail to staff to confirm that Aaron Beattie, water
operations supervisor, will be the DRC while Mr. Goodrich is on vacation.
Commissioner Henschel also mentioned a group of skunks living on the south High Tor
site. Mr. Goodrich said he would have someone look into this.
