MEETING DATE/TIME: Tuesday, September 1, 2015, 5:30 p.m.
MEETING LOCATION: Tigard Public Library 2nd Floor Conference Room

1. CALL TO ORDER
This meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
Members in attendance: Carter Kruse, Zack Dean, Mike Coloma, Nicole Bintliff, Adam Stack, Adam
LaFountain, Zahra Hashmat
Staff in attendance: Marty Wine, Councilor Henderson, Kent Wyatt
3. New members were introduced.
4. Draft minutes were approved from the June 2, 2015 meeting.
5. OLD BUSINESS:
• Members Joseph Murche and Christopher Rebolledo were removed from the TYAC for non-
attendance.
• Plans for outreach to bring in new members: club rush, individual contact with middle schools.
Marty will give contact information to Zack Dean and Adam Stack to contact middle school
counselors and they will make contact with interested students.
• Potential amendments to bylaws: the TYAC may consider future amendments to the bylaws to
allow the Council to remove members after a certain number of meetings have been missed.
Another potential change is to amend the number of members from 15-30 to 10-20.
• Elections: nominations were made for the Council offices and written ballots were submitted.
The staff liaison counted the votes and announced the results at the end of the meeting.

6.NEW BUSINESS
• The TYAC discussed the details of the September 12 Tigard Street Fair chalk art event.
• Tabled for next meeting: ideas for a fundraiser, plan for a street clean-up date, and brainstorm
session about what the TYAC wants to achieve for the upcoming year.

• Future requests for presentations: TYAC decided to invite Kim Marshall to the September
meeting and Noelle Dobson for an October meeting. The TYAC would like to invite members
of the Tigard Downtown Alliance to attend a future meeting to hear about downtown activities.
• The staff liaison (Marty) reminded the TYAC that the Council members may advocate for
measures that are up for election in November using their personal time and resources. No city
time or resources or activities to advocate for or against a ballot measure can be done in the
official capacity of the Youth Advisory Council.
7.ADJOURN
Next meeting set for September 15, 2015 at 5 p.m. in the Library Conference Room. The TYAC will
decide on a regular meeting date and time for the year.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:40 p.m.
