TYPE OF OBSERVATION:
Lot dig out
GeoPacific Engineering technician Eric Merritt was on-site for construction monitoring activities.
While on-site, I observed the completed dig out for the residence at Lot 3 (12517 SW 123'd Avenue). The subgrade
was adequately cleared of topsoil, vegetation, and any inorganic material. The subgrade soils appeared to consist of
native sandy silt. I probed the prepared subgrade with a '/2-inch steel foundation probe, and the subgrade material met
stiff to very stiff resistance to my probing efforts.
Based on my observations and probing efforts, the subgrade at Lot 3 has been prepared in accordance with project
specifications and our recommendations.
