2. MINUTES FOR APPROVAL, - June 18, and 27, 1968
(a) Approved with a correction to item 3
d & e of the special meeting of June
27th, 19�8 as shown.
(d) Motion by Mr. Atkins to approve
the request.
(e) Seconded by Mr. Woodard.
3. ZONE CHANGE-�A request to change sing]_e family residential zoning to j

Ave., testified as to his concern regarding the ac:cess
onto Bonita Rd. wk�ich he consider�d to be highly danc�erous.
Mrs. Mary Hulquist again testi£ied as to her concern fs
about the speeding traffic on Bonita Rd, Mr. Jesse Snyder, E,;
7775 S.W. Soni�a Rd., testified that he was in faQOr, �'
because it would briFZg the needed improvements to the �{

Mr. Smith, of Signal Oil,testified that his company
was apposed to staff recommendation allowing only !
one driveway cut onto 99F7. Mr. Walter �wingli, �
4475 S.W. Scholls Ferry Rd., diacussed alternate !
� traffic patterns and presented pictures of the !
proposed development; suggesting the installation
of arrow to control the traffic pattern. Mr. Bob ;
Ragel, also of Signal Oil, testified to the�dangers • �
of only one access onto 99W. Mr. Zwingli again �
testified that he was appoaed to (1) moving the �
building back 10' because of the area necess�ry i
for garbage collection. (2) the limitations of I
signing because the need for a price sign� (not at �
corner) .

(d) Mation to approve the conditional use as per the staff recommend- I
ations; Iiowever, allowing two driveway cuts the first to be 18' ti
from the new right - of - way line on Walnut, subjeck to k.
approval by Ctiy Attorney as to the legality: Mr. Nicoli, and !
seconded by Mr. Atkins. j

(1) Mc�ved by Mr. Woodard, Seconded by Mr. Atkins that the motion> 1
be ammended to allow the main builda.ng to �emain in the �:
pr�posed location, not at the property line as staff
recommended. Ammendment Passes by a vote of 4 ta 1. Mr.
Perry being the negative vote. �
(2) l�loved by Mr. Woodard, Seconded by Mr. Atkins that the �
motion be ammencled to exclude item #9 of the staff re- �I,
commendation. Ammendmenfi. passed by a vote of 4-0, with
Mr. Perry abstaining from voting. Main motion as ammended
passed by a vote of 4 to 1, Mr. Perry ca9ting the only
neqative vote.

5. CONDTTIONAL USE - A request to allow a building contractor s office
and warehouse on property located at 8950 S.W.
Burnham Street. Tax Lot 2600, Map 2S 1-2AD�
(a) Staff Recommendations
(b) Public Hearing - 8:00 P.M.
Mr. Scott, P.O. Box 23534, testified that he was not �
in favor o£ the contractor uging the 16' easement.
� Mr. Daniels, the applicant testified that he would t
not be using the 16' easement for access but that
he would be using Burnham; He stated that a 6' �
screen would be more advantages.

was read.
(b) Moti.on to adopt the name of S.W. Haines Rd, to Route through '
the OEA praperty as shown on the proposed plan: Mr. Nicoli,;
Seconded by Mr, Atkins.
(2) Discussion of Cur� cut tllong side of Dairy Queen.
(a) The commission directed staff to take necessary aetion to
impose the conditions required 'by the candition use for the
22 api8 at 12740 S.W. Pacific Highway, (Buaineas license,
sewer , discontinua.ng of occupancy, etc.)
(3) Discussion� was held reg,arding a planned Residential by Mr. Griffen
' off Walnut St. Mr. Jim Harris representing the future applicant
discussed cul-de-sec lay out etc. for the area.
No action iaae taken. �
