Truss Hanger Connection
Engineer Job Number: FH14 15
Dear Dennis:
We have reviewed the hanger connection for truss Fl to truss BH1. Per the truss drawings, the
hanger toad is just under 1250#. A'Simpson' HU 11 hanger was used with a capacity of 3,695
pounds. Due to how the trusses are !fined up, one side of the hanger is fu!!y fastened to the
truss, white the other side is bent and fastened to soffit framing that is attached to the end of the
bottom chord of truss BH1, See attached photos. Ignoring half the nailing of the hanger wi!!
resu.t in a capacity of 1,845 pounds which is stir; greater than the 1,250 pound design ;Gad,
therefore the hanger as insta;;ed is okay.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
-
