We are working on putting all of this together. The valuation for the additional work is$9,950.00. If you let us know the additional amount and how to go about paying that, we'll take care of it (credit card authorization form?). We need to check the anchorage of the unit and the curb details. So we need two copies of the plans showing this and we need two sets of the cut sheets for the unit. If you want to add this to add this to your existing permit, we will also need to know what the additional valuation of the work is and the cost of the second unit. I spoke with Mark VanDomelen, our Building Official, and to assist you with this he is willing to allow you to have the 2 sets of plans/details and the cut sheets at the job site for the inspector to do a field review on. But, we will need to know what the additional project valuation is to add to the permit and then you will need to pay the additional permit fees before the inspection can take place. Our office is closed on Fridays, so if you need the inspection for tomorrow, Friday, we will need to take care of this right away. I have a scheduled appointment with a customer in a few minutes and I have to leave at 4:00 pm today, so let me as soon as possible what you want to do. We were asked by the general contractor to replace an existing roof top unit with a new, equal to old, RTU.The existing unit was past it workable lifespan & needed to be replaced. The new unit is actually lighter than the old unit but we will be adding a curb adapter to make it fit the existing configuration. The new unit sits upon the existing curb that the old unit was on,we are recycling the old unit upon removal. There is no engineered plans per say for this project, just a straight replacement of the same for same. Please help us understand how we might be able to get a permit to perform this work? Thanks for your support! That means(2) sets of revised plans would need to be submitted and reviewed. We would not be able to get that done today. We do not accept revisions by email at this time. It might be better to go ahead and get the final inspection done on the first unit permitted and submit the second unit separately. The plans examiner said we would expedite the review but it would still be the first of next week even if you were able to bring the plans and application form in today before 4:30 pm. Let me know if you have any questions on this. By the way: The site set of plans for the first unit are still waiting at our front counter to be picked up as requested. As it turned out, an existing RTU that the contractor thought worked, didn't, and we removed the old one and replaced it. The permit is only for 1 unit. We didn't think about notifying you about that. Can it be added to this permit? Do we just need to pay more? The contractor was hoping that we could get a final inspection tomorrow. Sigh! Sorry about the rush. Let us know what we need to do, please.
