3.OLD BUSINESS:
• Letter to elementary and middle schools: Marty has not heard anything back from the elementary
or middle schools
• Adopt a street project: It is possible for us to adopt Main Street. All that we would have to do is
have a representative sign off on a document stating that we acknowledge what it means to adopt
the street. All that we would have to do is maintain our presence on the street, whether it be
through community service or art projects
• Courtyard project: Possible partnerships that can be made to help revive the courtyard include,
National Art Honor Society, Key Club, any other clubs willing to participate, any artist willing
to participate. We could also divide up sections of the well to give to different entities or separate
the entities by color. We could also replace the tables currently located there and take care of the
plants there. We could have tiles that could be purchased by a club.
• Youth Summit: We can not get Tigard or Fowler as a location. Twality is our only school option
at this point. We could attempt to reserve one of the schools for a night time event or look at a
building that is not a school.
• DARE/GREAT training: Officer Scruggs wants to have a sub meeting with representatives from
the Youth Advisory Council for training/curriculum designing. The meeting will be March 3rd
at 4:30 in the conference room that our meetings are held in. Anyone is welcome to come
• Report back on SPED "buddies": Those that are interested in being involved with this project
will be expected to complete a given task within a week to help their "buddy" with the addition
of a larger monthly project. If you do not wish to have a buddy, let Carter know ASAP.
• Results of essay contest and NLC attendees: Adam LaFountain and Zack Dean have been selected
to attend the NLC on behalf of the Tigard Youth Advisory Council

school, but we need to put the word out through social media. Please put the word out!

give our tax status.
