ic Hwy. 99W.
Upcoming anges toic Hwy. 99W.Pacific Hwy.—from Hwy. 217 to 71st Ave.—will improve safety and reduce motorists' travel time through the area.
Here's what's happened:
1. A third southbound lane has been added.
2. One of two southbound left turn lanes onto 72nd Ave. has been eliminated.
3. The center turn lane has been eliminated and a median installed from Hwy. 217
to 72nd Ave.This means motorists will have to plan ahead in order to access
businesses on the opposite side of the highway. Northbound motorists will make
U-turns to access the southbound side of the highway. Two"jug handles"re-route
southbound motorists to the northbound side of the highway. (Traffic patterns are
shown in green on the map.)
Construction is almost complete.
