Multifamily is considered residential. For your building, the entire square footage of the building with dwelling units(including corridors and such) should be listed and calculated at the residential rate. The portion of the building that does not contain dwelling units (dining areas, treatment rooms, etc.) should be listed and calculated at the non-residential rate. The cap for the non- residential rate would kick in if the area of non-residential exceeds 50,345 sq.ft. (29,200/.58=50,345).The total required Construction Excise Tax(CET) would be the combined residential and non-residential. If the non-residential exceeds the 50,345 sq.ft.,then it would be$29,200 plus the residential sq.ft.times$1.17. I hope that makes it clear. Please submit the square footages of each type of use and I will forward your calculations to Mr. Moore at TTSD to confirm his agreement prior to processing a refund. The fees due for each are attached. We also need to have the contractors identified for the site utility permit and the electrical permit. The electrical permit application requires a signature of the electrical signing supervisor on it once the contractor has been determined. We do not require an original signature so you can fax or email it to the contractor and then back to us. Per my conversation with Eric, I have Bonaventure Construction as the general contractor. I need to know a CCB number for Inland for the site work permit so I can verify that I have the correct contractor listed on that permit. Because there is potable water on the site utility permit the contractor of record will need to be a licensed plumbing contractor, not just an excavation contractor. Have a great weekend and we will see you next week!
