David Newham is no longer representing King City. City Manager David Wells says the
King City City Council will appoint a new representative soon.

1. Call to Order, Roll Call and Introductions
Commissioner Buchner called the meeting to order at 5:33 p.m.
2. Approval of Minutes —April 9, 2014
Commissioner Henschel moved to approve the April 9, 2014, minutes.
Commissioner Inman seconded the motion. The motion passed by a unanimous vote of
the commissioners present,with Commissioners Buchner, Henschel, and Inman
voting yes.
3. Approval of Minutes —May 14, 2014
Commissioner Inman moved to approve the May 14, 2014, minutes.
Commissioner Henschel seconded the motion. The motion passed by a unanimous vote
of the commissioners present,with Commissioners Buchner, Henschel, and Inman
voting yes.
4. Public Comments
There were no comments from the public.
5. Water Supply Update
Mr. Goodrich reported:
• Average water use for the month of June was 6.8 million gallons per day (mgd),
with a peak of 8 mgd on June 22. Temperatures for that day and the day before
were 81 degrees.
• In the month of June, a total of 26 million gallons (mg) were used from aquifer
storage and recovery (ASR) well no. 1, and 6.3 mg were used from ASR well no.
2.
• So far in the month of July an average of 8 to 9 mgd have been used. This is
average for this time of year.
• The city has used 36 mg from ASR well no. 1; approximately 128 mg of water
remains in ASR well no. 2 storage. This equates to a 59-day supply.
6. Discuss Cancelling or Rescheduling the September 10, 2014 Meeting
Mr. Goodrich explained that the September 10, 2014, meeting will need to be
rescheduled or cancelled. Staff will send email to board members prior to August 13,
2014,with options for meeting date changes or cancellation.
7. Informational Items
The next meeting will be a tour of the Lake Oswego Tigard Water Partnership projects
on August 13, 2014, at 5:30— 8 p.m. Staff will send an email with more details regarding
the tour.
8. Non-Agenda Items
Commissioner Henschel inquired about inconsistent water billing cycles. Longer cycles
may result in higher demand that may—in turn—bump customers into a more expensive
rate tier. Mr. Goodrich will check with utility billing and bring an answer back to the
board.
The commissioners came to a consensus regarding future meeting cancellations. It was
decided that if there are no scheduled agenda items or staff is unable to attend, staff will
email a notice of potential meeting cancellation to the board. Board members who have
an agenda item will submit the item to the board chair. The chair will determine
whether the meeting will be cancelled and will inform staff. Staff will communicate the
chair's decision to the board members.

At 6:22 p.m. Commissioner Inman moved to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner
Hschel seconded the tion. The meeting adjourned by unanimous vote of the
