Three openings will be punched into the south wall and one opening in- filled on the very south end of the west wall. The new CMU lintels wall have been analyzed to verify that they are sufficiently reinforced to span the new openings using the strength of the existing bond beams. Lateral/out-of-plane loading and in-plane wall shear are also discussed and are determined to be okay as is. In addition to the punched openings, a new steel framed canopy is being added over the new openings. Applicable loads have been calculated with framing members and required anchorage designed as needed.
