The existing unit and curb weighed approximately 4251bs, and the new replacement unit with curb and adapter curb weighs approximately 5621bs. Based on our review, the existing roof structure will be adequate to support the replacement HVAC unit. Please verify the 2x support framing as indicated on sheet S-2 prior to the installation of the new unit. If the 2x support framing is not present, it will need to be installed. Also included in this package are calculations and details for attachment of the new HVAC unit and adapter curb to resist wind and seismic loads. Please contact me with any questions.
