Preston and Nate noted that there is a rich amount of content on the TigardMaps
application and it's easy to link to from the blogs to the city website. Content comes from
city, county, state and federal agencies serving municipal government. There are pre-made
map galleries suitable for printing and old Tigard aerial photos dating back to the 1940s.
Map users can access information as varied as 2010 census data, emergency notifications
(e.g. boil water notices) current utility work and crime data for each neighborhood.

information for who customers contact to report the outage.
Preston and Nate encouraged committee members to try out TigardMaps and contact
them if they experienced any problems or had a mapping suggestion for the team. Contact
them at Preston@tigard-or.gov or nathans@tigard-or.gov.
5. UPDATE ON JANUARY 10 COUNCIL GOAL SETTING
Council is going about goal setting much differently this year. They are not setting actual
goals as in years past, but plan to adopt a workplan that is geared to developing a strategic
plan for the city. Special attention will focus on key topics like economic development,
strategic planning, community engagement and progress on major projects (e.g. water,
Tigard Triangle and River Terrace planning).
6. UPDATE ON VIRTUAL OPEN HOUSE OPEN UNTIL 2/28/13)
Joanne said the online open house is open until February 28 at 5 p.m. so the results of the

She will share them at the May 20 meeting. Responses have been good so far.

we've held neighborhood Network open houses. This information was emailed to the
group on February 21.

the city themselves. When we look for volunteers, it's because we have a project we need
help with and we advertise via the city's website, the Cityscape monthly newsletter and
the neighborhood web administrators.
