I have reviewed that conversation with ,'- our engineer and with the contractor's superintendent, Mr. Joe Keese to see if they recall being told to obtain a tree permit. Joe seems to recall that this subject was brought up in our meeting ',. however the engineer and I do not recall that part of our discussion. As a builder/developer, we understand the importance of saving trees as trees are helpful in marketing the homes in a subdivision, , Prior to the clearing process I met with Mr. Keese on the site to revieW each tree to determine What could and what could not be saved. We marked each tree that was to be removed. Had we known, or had I remembered the requirement to have a tree removal permit, we would gladly have done this revieW process in the preSence of .. and with the guidance a person from the City. Our criterion for 1'1 tree removal was to remove only those trees that were in the right — of way or remove that tree Where the drip line was in the building envelope.
