The General Telephone Company of the Northwest wishes to construct
a two -story equipment building on their property at 8840 S.W.
Burnham Road.
The proposed building will house dial equipment and will eventually
replace the existing facility on Main Street. It will be located
approximately 180' south of Burnham Road. Construction will be
reinforced concrete with brick exterior facing. The ground area
will be 8,500 square feet.
Maximum effort will be expended to provide an attractive facility
including landscaping of the area between the building and Burn-
ham Road. Attached is a site plan of the entire property show-
ing the Support Center Complex presently under construction and
the proposed Equipment Building location.
Your co- operation in assisting us relative to getting an early
approval of the Planning and Zoning Commission would be greatly
appreciated.
In anticipation that a Conditional lie Permit will be required,
the attached application (2 copies) is submitted herewith.

explained the style of the proposed building, the kind of
use, and number of employees which would be involved in
this new facility: a two-story, cohcrete with brick veneer
building with from 16 - 20 employees. He also stated that
it would not be a facility which would involve the general
public.

3. Commission discussion and action
a. Mr. Lewis asked if the present facility on Main Street
is to be located in this proposed buildinq and the present
site vacated. Mr. Bryant said that this i8 the plan.
b. It was moved (Woodard), seconded (Aitken), and passed by
unanimous vote of the Commission present that the Condi-
tional Use be amended as shown on the plans presented.

1. That the applicant get Planning and Zoning Commissions
approval of site plans, detailed landscape plans, and
archectural renderings, prior to applying' for a building
permit.
2. That outside storage be allowed with dense landscape
screening.
3. That there be no land Pilling in or alongside of Fenno
Creek.
