ROLL CALL A, Present: Commissioners Ba rkhura t, Hartman, Lewis, Nicoli, Severson, Whittaker and Chairman Paterson: Fred Anderson, City Attorney: Ray Rangila, City Planner B. Absent: Commissioner Paulat III, APPROVAL OF MINUTES A, The minutes for the May 16, 1972 meeting were approved as submitted. IV. PUBLIC HEARIN0 A. Commission Discussion and Action a. Chairman Paterson asked if the abutting properties , would lee allowed to build on the property lines. b. The City Planner stated that they would. c. Mr. Whittaker asked if the abutting properties were under one ownership. d. The City Planner stated that the abutting properties were under separate ownerships. e. It was moved (Lewis) , seconded (Severson) and passed by unanimous vote of the Commission present to approve the request with the following conditions: 1. That the building be located on the westerly property line. 2 That the Planning Commission review and approve a completed site development plan prior to issuance of a building permit. S. Public Hearing a. The public hearing was opened. b, Mr. Bastian, 11675 S.W. Tiedeman Avenue, stated that he had no objections as long as the duplexes were nice. Hartman asked how much of the yroperty 4s subject to flooding. b. Mr. Peters stated that 15 percent of his property 1s subject to flooding and 25 percent of Mr. Schulz's r property. co Mr. aarkhurst questioned condition 4 in the staff recommendation° d. Mr. Whittaker asked if one driveway could be placed between the duplexes allowing parking in- the back° e. Mr. Peters state: that there wasn't enough space behind the duplexes to allow parking. f. Mr. Barkhurst asked if 30 feet would be enough for the greenway. g. Chairman Paterson stated that with a school on the other side of the creek there world be.enough open spaced h. It was moved (Barkhurst) , seconded (Nicoli) to delete condition 4 in the staff recommendation. The motion was defeated by a 4 to 3 vote. (Commissioners aarkhurat, Nicoli and Severson voting yes.
