Rick - The head of the corridor partitions should be secured as follows: •
1. When running parallel to the ribs of the steel deck above, the sheet metal should span
three ribs and be secured to each rib at 18" o.c. in a staggered pattern.
2. When running perpendicular to the ribs, secure the sheet metal to the steel deck in a
similar pattern at approximately 18" o.c. depending on the location of the ribs.
3. Secure the sheet metal to the steel deck with #10 self tapping screws. •
4. Secure the head track'to the sheet metal at 12" o.c. with drywall screws of a length not
longer than the depth of the rib of the steel deck.
