I ti The Willamette Silt Formation consists of bedded silt f� and fine sand with occasional layers of clay, lenses of pebbly fine to medium sand, and locally scattered 4 P y , y granite . and quartzit boulders. This deposit is about. 50 ft thick . 1 and thins toward the valley margins at about elevation +250. The Boring Lava exposed in nearby road construction sites is massive, blocky, gray, porphyritic basalt. The basalt has an expanded texture (vesicular) and occurs as thin flows or intracanyon flows. Locally, the flow tops are � weathered into a relict structure. Groundwater Past experience indicates that the groundwater in the area will approach the ground surface during the wet winter months. Groundwater depths in the range of 10 to 12 ft can be expected during the dry summer months.
