RE: Taxes - Property Account #2Sl1 1DD 00300
Dear Sir:
It is our understanding that the payment of taxes on this
piece of property would be your responsibility through the dates.
designated on the enclosed statement.
We realize that there has been some difficulty in deterring
ixig ownership, as a few years back the city filed for a quit claim
deed and was refused.
If you feel t;that there is some question as to whether, you
should make 'payment, would you please. contact Washington .County,
Department of Assessment and Taxation. We would appreciate, your
letting us know what decision, is made.

We have only a few days to completion of the Nall & Durham

days has delayed some of the finishing touches , and ,
although we plan on paving by the 2nd , the final completion
will probably be after the 2nd, °'

Dear Bill :
You recently received a copy of a letter sent to me by y Marlin ,

project . As I hope you can see from the letter , we have been pro- .
. ceeding with this project a t the fa stest blip possible .
There was a considerable amount of design time involved due to the
coordination between city, county and state agencies and the fact
that there ate a multitude of utilities: in Durham Road that had to . .
be accommodated . Although the design plans for Hall Blvd . had been
completed and we actually had a permit for their construction, Mr , 1
DeHaas uncovered information which made it advisable that those r
plans be re--designed and re-submitted . ,
t
The project is under way and the contractors have assured us , as ~ ' .,
of this writing , that we should be complete by September 2nd We
are probably more anxious than the city and county to see the work '' '
comp fete . The completion will increase sales as well as provide a ' .

Dear Tim:
At the meeting with you in our office, August 15, 1983, you indicated
that the
on-going G.T.E. construction affecting the Tigard and S chool District
-
Plaid
Pantry road improvement project on Durham Road and, Hall Blvd. would
be complete within two weeks. We equate this to be August 29, 1983:
Contract deadlines for both the Tigard School project and the
g p J
Plaid Pantry project are set for September 2, 1983, each contatning
liquidated damage clauses of $200.00/day. Strict approval criteria of
all public agencies involved (City of Tigard-Washington County-Oregon
State Highway Division-Tigard School District #233) stipulate the Sept.
2 1983 date. In addition, t he City
of Tigard has the authority and
has emphatically stated they will use such authority to close the Plaid
Pantry if the September 2, 1983 deadline requirement is violated
1 for the Plaid Pantry portions of the road improvements.
While I recognize you r
' g yon are aware of these deadlines' and are making every

effort to complete your work as soon as possible, we, are again asking
h7 g possible to m the schedule you have
r: that you do everyt •rl i meet or exceed '
estimated (completion of your work by August 29, 1983. )
i Please let us know if there is any assistance that our firm can provide.

Mr. Roger Stever
Plaid Pantry --
2540 I.E. Riverside Way I
Portland, Oregon 97211 I "
Dear Roger:
When you were in our office June 16, you asked a few questions which I believe
can be answered in general. .
1. While you could call for bids on the Plaid Pantry . Durham Road work, I
would ;strongly suggest that we will find greater economy by negotiating
a contract with the existing contractor In the Tigard School District
Durham Road project. It would be my judveaent that in most instances,
the same unit prices could be used.
2. We will crash the plan and specifications work within two weeks. We
cannot control the approval time necessary by Washingtiun County and
the City of Tigard, however, they are both familiar with what is happening,
} we are fully aware of most of the requirements and we should be able to
make their approvals speedy by keeping them informed, hand - carrying, u,
etc.
3. We would propose requiring the contractor to compete his construction
by September 2, 19834
. Sincerely,
P.S. Prank, Currie
n and Ron Aa `s

RE: PLAID PANTRY #19 (committed license)
15485 S.W. Hall Blvd.
Tigard, OR
Dear Mr. Piacentini:
At their January meeting, the Oregon Liquor Control Commission
considered the matter of your committed 1 i cerise for store #19
on S.W. Hall Blvd. This was brought t to their attention because
of the negative neighborhood sentiment and because of the reversal
by the City of Tigard of t',Iei r endorsement.
The Commissioners coricvred with staff's decision. Your committed
license will be continued until July 31 , 1983. If you do not
have the store open utilizing the license by that date, it Will
be necessary for you to re-apply obtaining a fresh endorsement.
I appreciate your cooperation on this matter.
