Do not use solvent cement on threaded joints, but wrap joints with minimum three wraps of Teflon tape. Do nO solvent welding of pipe when raining or temperature is below 50°F. • E. Fluslliaas: Prior to installing sprinkler heads, all pipe lines shall be thoroughly flushed and made free of dirt or foreign material . Cap risers immediately after flushing minimum 3 minutes. , , G. Pressure Testing: Maintain 100 psi pressure for 15 min- utes before and during inspection. Installation may not leak or lose pressure during test period. Detect and repair leaks and retest system until Architect accepts. H. Backfillisa: Delay until system is tested and accepted. Fill trench to 6" over pipe with sand passing a 4" sieve and compact with water. Fill remainder of trench, tamp or roll, and bring • to finish grade at adjacent area compaction density. I. Adiustments : Adjust moving parts to Architect' s satisfaction • at time of final acceptance. J. Restoration and Clean : Properly replace all features and plant materlitig-disturbed during installation. Remove de- bris from project site upon completion or sooner, if directed. K. Final Inspection : Thoroughly clean, adjust and balance all 1 systems. Demonstrate the entire system to Architect, proving ' that all remote control valves are properly balanced, that (' all heads are properly adjusted for radius and arc of coverage, and that the installed additional system is workable, clean and efficient. L. Maintenance Personnel: After the system has been completed, inspected and approved, instruct the Owner' s maintenande 1 personnel in the operation and maintenance Of the irrigatiOn system and demonstrate the contents of the manual furnished.
