Additionally, the roof structure above has only the bottom cord of engineered web joists to attach to, which are likely. not built to support the weight. Per discussion with the Owner's Rep. a structural engineer was engaged to determine an acceptable method of support for the hardlid ceiling in the Service Area and the storefront framing in front of the bulkhead which will run on the mall side of the bulkhead structure flush with the framing at the recessed sign per RFI #003. Attached is Detail SSK01 from KPFF Consulting Engineers showing the use of Rigid X suspended grid and drywall system attached to the roof structure for storefront and hardlid ceiling assemblies. Please confirm that this is acceptable. PLEASE NOTE: This detail has already been approved by the Landlord.
