The building is six stories, Type II -FR, fully sprinidered with an automatic smoke detection system in the corridors. o n A UBC Section 1004.2.4, Separation of exits or exit -access doorways As you can see from Attachment A, the existing exit door is separated from the new exit door by approximately 60' -0 ", which is approximately 16' -2" less than the required separation N 3 N distance of approximately 76' -2" (one -half the diagonal distance of approximately 152' -5 "). y O � • Evaluation of this condition under IBC, Section 1014.2.1, Exception 2, would allow for this configuration of exits. The required separation would be approximately 50' -9" (one -third the diagonal distance). The building is fully sprinidered and the exits will be greater than one -third the diagonal distance apart.
