This clearance area is essentially an extension of the showroom area. In this area we display pre- leased merchandise that we would need to discount more than 30% and hence is unfit for main showroom display. The demising wall exists to keep the main showroom "pretty". Very little merchandise is actually kept in the clearance area; when we receive a lot of pre - leased merchandise back from customers (beginning of summer when customers move and can't take it with them) • this area will fill up more than usual. The public is invited into this area if we can get them interested in pre - leased merchandise sold at a large discount We have a distribution center warehouse in north Portland where product is warehoused; we only order what we need to refill the showroom on a weekly basis.
