The existing system will be replaced with the following devices: 1- Silent Knight 5820XL Addressable Fire alarm Control \Communicator 1- Silent Knight 5860 LCD Remote Control\Annunciator 71- SK Addressable smoke detectors 35- SK Addressable smoke detector bases 43- SK Addressable relay smoke detector bases 16- System Sensor Fire alarm Chime Strobes 9- System Sensor Fire Alarm Strobes 4- Silent Knight Addressable Fire Alarm Manual Pullstations 7- Silent Knight Addressable Fire Alarm heat detectors (ROR) As necessary relay modules, conduit, wiring, backboxes and labor to complete this project. All patient room smoke detectors will be replaced with an SK Photo smoke detector including an SK B224RB relay base. This replacement smoke detector will be wired to the associated hallway fire alarm indicator light. 2. The existing fire alarm annunciator located at the nursing station will be replaced with an SK 5860 remote annunciator. 3. All fire alarm system alarm bells will be replaced with System sensor Chime \Strobes or Strobes. These will be synchronized. Please see fire alarm system plan for these device locations. 4. All existing fire alarm system manual pullstations will be replaced with SK —Pull — SA pullstations. Please see the fire alarm system plan for these locations. 5. The existing fire alarm system smoke detectors in corridors and common areas will be replaced and relocated with SK Photo Smoke detectors. Please see fire alarm plan for these locations. 6. All existing fire sprinkler system devices will be wired to the new fire alarm control panel and addressed individually. 7. All existing fire alarm system relay functions, such as fire door holder release and door lock release will be wired to and programmed for proper operation by the SK 5820XL control panel. 8. This fire alarm system has an automatic emergency generator installed, battery calculations will be based on 24 hour battery backup calculations. 9. All new fire alarm system wiring will be FPL 18 gauge. 10. Existing FPL 18 gauge wiring will be utilized where practical. 11. All wiring and devices will be installed to meet current NFPA 70, and 72 requirements. 12. The existing Resident Room Hallway fire alarm annunciator lights and wiring will be wired to each corresponding smoke detector to light when that smoke detector is in alarm utilizing control panel power and the addressable relay at the detector. 13. The UL Listed monitoring will be provided by the onboard dialer of the 5820x1 panel.
