RE: GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER'S FOUNDATION EXCAVATION REVIEW
THORNWOOD PARTITION — PARCELS 1 AND 2
CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON
Reference: GeoPacific Engineering Inc., Soil Engineer's Summary at Conclusion of Earthwork,
Thornwoo l City of Tigard, Oregon, dated March 10, 2003.
.GeoPraoific Engineer, Jim lmbrie, has visited parcel 2 on December 22, 2004 and parcel 1 on January
4, 2005.. The purpose of our visits were primarily to review the foundation excavation subgrade, and
footing proximity to existing slope faces and terrace cuts.
The footing subgrades generally consisted of stiff native soil that is slightly mottled. The current
subgrade is considered adequate for spread foundation support. Based on our observations, the
roundation'subgrade and slope -to- footing setbacks should be acceptable for support of the proposed
single - family home. No deck footing subgrades were observed. Some mucking is expected to be
necoes;ary due to frost heave.
Our work scope for this phase of geolw.hnical review pertains to foundation bowing conditions only
and is limited to the conditions existing and exposed at the time of our site visits. This report is for
Don Morfssette Homes only and information herein should not be relied upon by others without
consulting GeoPacific Engineering, Inc. If you have any further questions, please call.
Sincerely,
GeoPecifie Engineering, inc.
