This letter is in response to your plan review correction letter dated June 19, 2007.
Permit #BUP2007 -00288
1. Calculations and diagrams showing support for walls, storefronts, etc., for lateral and
vertical load per ASCE7 9.6.1.3.
a. Calculations have been included, corrections for additional bracing have been
added to sheets A00.9, A08.3, A08.4 and A08.6
2. Taking in consideration the exceptions in OSSC 603.1, provide noncombustible
construction throughout.
a. All of the exposed combustible construction is not structural, thus not governed
by OSSC 603.1, but by OSSC 803 Wall and Ceiling Finishes. Table 803.5, Use
Group M, Rooms and Enclosed Spaces allows a Class C flame spread rating.
Furthermore all of the wall and ceiling finishes are separated from the structure
by a layer of 5/8" gypsum board.

MTE inspector arrived onsite and provided periodic special inspection of single pass fillet
welds at truss and roof reinforcement. Trusses were reinforced per detail 00 /000 drawing
S0.1 and roof reinforcing was per details 11 and 12/S0.1. Welding was done by Red
Frost Welding. Certification of welder Christopher P. Kellogg, # W06344, expires on 10-
01-08. Welding procedure was previously verified as meeting the pre - qualification
requirements of AWS D1.1. Welds meet the visual acceptance criteria of AWS D1.1 -04.
To the best of our knowledge, items inspected this date are in accordance with approved
plans and specifications:

SUMMARY:
At jobsite, Mayes Tseting Engineers provided periodic special inspection of single pass fillet welds at framing for
window sashes and attachment of sashes to the framing.
Sashes were all owner supplied. No drawings were available showing weld details. All welds at the sashes were
ground flush.
Welding was done by Red Frost Welding. Certification of welder Christopher P. Kellogg, # W06344, expired on 10-
01-07. His card was sent to WABO for renewal. MTE was given a copy of the certification that expired to show that
it is recent. Welding procedure was previously verified as meeting the pre - qualification requirements of AWS D1.1.
Melds meet the visual acceptance criteria of AWS D1.1 -04.

Exits and exit access doors shall be marked by an approved exit sign readily
visible from any direction of egress travel.
Access to exits shall be marked by readily visible exit signs in cases where the
exit or the path of egress travel is not immediately visible to the occupants.

Exit signs shall be illuminated at all times and shall be provided with a second
source of power that will provide 1 1 /2 hours of illumination in case of primary

story in which they apply, using durable metal signs, and it shall be unlawful to
remove or deface such notices. The occupant of the building shall be
responsible for keeping the actual load below the allowable limits. (1603.3
