Dear Ms. Matera,
I have reviewed your submitted construction drawings and ask you to incorporate the following
changes and resubmit for final landlord approval:
Page A1.1: Tenant required covering half of neutral pier with tenant storefront material at 12"
width
Page A3.1 (Same note as above) Indicate tenant finishes extending to half of neutral pier
Page A1.2 Please provide photo of the storefront aluminum material on side wall as
indicated.
Page A2.1 Contractor to install and label water shut -off valve at eye level within restroom
space or other location as determined with mall operations manager.
Page M1: Tenant GC is not required to contract with mall HVAC contractor for connection to
the mall's supply air system. Tenant's GC is allowed to make this connection.
Tenant GC to provide and install controls for HVAC within tenant's space. (HVAC
note .1)
Page El: Add note that tenant GC is required to contract with mall's approved electrical
contractor for any connections or service to the mall's electrical supply.
Sample Photos: Please provide photos of similar Swarovski stores that represent the color
schemes in regards to the interior and storefront.

The plan review was performed under the State of Oregon Structural Specialty Code
(OSSC) 2007 edition; 2007 Oregon Fire Code. Provide the following items prior to
issuance of this permit.
1) All improvements made to the building shall be inspected prior to covering.
2) Make approved set of plans available for all inspections.
3) A total of 25% of the cost of the project shall go towards removing architectural
barriers (accessibility).
FIRE LIFE AND SAFETY / GENERAL
The main exterior door or doors are permitted to be equipped with key- operated locking
devices from the egress side provided:
1. The locking device is readily distinguishable as locked,
2. A readily visible durable sign is posted on the egress side on or adjacent to the
door stating: THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN BUILDING IS OCCUPIED.
The sign shall be in letters 1 inch (25 mm) high on a contrasting background. (Sec.
1008.1.8.3)
All exit doors shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special
knowledge or effort. (Sec. 1008.1.8)
Exits and exit access doors shall be marked by an approved exit sign readily visible
from any direction of egress travel. Access to exits shall be marked by readily visible
exit signs in cases where the exit or the path of egress travel is not immediately visible
to the occupants. (Sec. 1011.1)
Exit signs shall be illuminated at all times and shall be provided with a second source of
power that will provide 1 1 /2 hours of illumination in case of primary power loss. (Sec.
1006.3)
FYI - Additional exit signs may be required by the city field inspector to clearly
indicate the path of egress.
The means of egress shall be provided with illumination of not less than 1 foot candle at
the floor level anytime the building is occupied. The means of egress illumination, when
two exits are required, shall be provided with a second source of power in case of
primary power loss. (Sec. 1006.2)
Portable fire extinguishers shall be installed in new and existing Group A, B, E, F, H, I,
M, R -1, R -2, R-4, and S occupancies. (OFC Sec. 906)

American with Disabilities Act (ADA): It shall be the responsibility of the Architect,
Engineer, Designer, Contractor, Owner and Lessee to research the applicability of the
ADA requirements for the structure. The City of Tigard reviews the plans and inspects
the structure only for compliance with Chapter 11 of the OSSC, which may not include
all of the requirements of the ADA.
Approved Plans: 1 set of approved plans, bearing the City of Tigard approval stamp,
shall be maintained on the jobsite. The plans shall be available to the Building Division
inspectors throughout all phases of construction. (106.3.1 OSSC)
Certificate of Occupancy: No building or structure shall be used or occupied until the
Building Official has issued a certificate of occupancy (109.1 OSSC)
Premises Identification: Approved numbers or addresses shall be provided for all new
buildings in such a position as to be plainly visible and legible from the street or road
fronting the property.
When submitting revised drawings or additional information, please attach a copy of the
enclosed City of Tigard, Letter of Transmittal. The letter of transmittal assists the City
of Tigard in tracking and processing the documents.
