This letter is to certify that all requirements of building permit # BUP2006- 00562, issued for
a building shell, have been completed. The final inspection was performed and approved on
March 7, 2008, by inspectors from the City of Tigard. No tenant spaces are included in this
permit, nor shall any tenant improvement be occupied until such time as each space is
approved by final inspection of its specific permits, approved for the use intended and
provided with a Certificate of Occupancy.
The City neither guarantees nor warrants to the owner, occupant or any other person that
this letter evidences strict and complete compliance with each and every ordinance. or
regulation of the City or the State of Oregon affecting the construction or use of said
structure or the land upon which it is situated. Such compliance is the responsibility of the
owner and /or occupant of the premises.
This letter certifies only that the work covered under the permit number listed above has
been completed. It is not permission to occupy tenant spaces.

The plan review was performed under the State of Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC)
2004 edition; and the State of Oregon Fire Code (OFC) 2004 edition. The submitted plans are
approved subject to the following conditions.
The Building is an Anchor Store. Exiting is not required through the mall.
1. The main exit shall be provided with signage indicating "THIS DOOR MUST REMAIN
UNLOCKED DURING BUSINESS HOURS" Section 1003.3.1.8 OSSC
2. All exit doors shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key or any special
knowledge or effort. 1003.3.1.8 OSSC
3. Exit signs shall be illuminated at all times and shall be provided with a second source of
power that will provide 1 1/2 hours of illumination in case of primary power loss.
1003.2.8.5 OSSC. FYI Additional exit signs may be required by the city field inspector
to clearly indicate the path of egress.
4. The egress path shall be provided with illumination of not less than 1 foot candle at the
floor level anytime the building is occupied. The means of egress illumination shall be
provided with a second source of power in case of primary power loss. 1003.2.9.2 OSSC
{ 5. Provide one 2 -A rated fire extinguisher in the new area. The extinguisher shall be located
r.' so that no usable space has a distance greater than 75 feet to the extinguisher. Standard
10 -1, Chapter 3 TVFR99 -01.
6. Deferred submittals will be charged a deferred submittal fee based on the valuation of
the portion of the work being deferred. The minim fee shall be $200.00.

Special Inspection: Special inspection is required for items listed on sheet S -0.0. The special
inspection agency of record shall furnish inspection reports to the Engineer of Record, Larry
Joe Griffith, the General Contractor, SD Deacon and the City of Tigard, Building Division,
attention Hap Watkins. All discrepancies shall be brought to the immediate attention of the
4- general contractor for correction. The special inspector shall submit a final signed report stating
whether the work requiring special inspection was, to the best of the inspector's knowledge, in
conformance with the approved plans and specifications and the applicable workmanship
provisions of the code. 1701.3 OSSC
Certificate of Occupancy: No building or structure shall be used or occupied until the Building
Official has issued a certificate of occupancy. The Tenant Improvement portion of Dick's
Sporting Goods will not receive occupancy until this shell permit has been finaled.
American with Disabilities Act (ADA): It shall be the responsibility of the Architect,
Engineer, Designer, Contractor, Owner and Lessee to research the applicability of the ADA
requirements for the structure. The City of Tigard reviews the plans and inspects the structure
only for compliance with Chapter 11 of the OSSC which may not include all of the requirements
of the ADA.
Approved Plans: 1 set of approved plans, bearing the City of Tigard approval stamp, shall be
maintained on the jobsite. The plans shall be available to the Building Division inspectors
throughout all phases of construction. 106.4.2 OSSC
Premises Identification: Approved numbers or addresses shall be provided for all new
buildings in such a position as to be plainly visible and legible from the street or road fronting
the property.
When submitting revised drawings or additional information, please attach a copy of the
enclosed City of Tigard, Letter of Transmittal. The letter of transmittal assists the City of
Tigard in tracking and processing the documents.
