The plan review was performed under the State of Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC) 2004
edition; and the Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue 2003 edition. The submitted plans are approved
subject to the following conditions.
1. Awnings to be installed per Approved Engineers designed instructions.
2. Awnings or canopies shall comply with the requirements of chapter 31 section 3105 and chapter
16 section 1607, 1608 and 1609 of this code. OSSC 3105. 1
3. Structural members shall be protected to prevent deterioration, and covering shall have a flame
spread index not greater than 25 when tested in accordance with ASTM E 84. OSSC 3105
Approved Plans: 1 set of approved plans, bearing the City of Tigard approval stamp, shall be
maintained on the jobsite. The plans shall be available to the Building Division inspectors
throughout all phases of construction. 106.3.1 OSSC
When submitting revised drawings or additional information, please attach a copy of the enclosed
City of Tigard, Letter of Transmittal. The letter of transmittal assists the City of Tigard in
tracking and processing the documents.
