Dear Mr. Maki:
- Hunt & Joiner, Inc. has performed a structural evaluation of the existing, concrete
wall on the roof of the above referenced building to verify its integrityfor support of
the proposed equipment cabinet weighing approximately 700 lbs. Based on the
information available, it is our opinion that the existing structure should have
sufficient capacity to support the proposed new equipment, in addition to code
required seismic loads.
The equipment cabinet will be connected to the wall using a steel bracket. Based on
our evaluation, the equipment cabinet will have to be anchored to the mounting
steel bracket by using 4 — 5/8" diameter A325 bolts, and the mounting shelf will be
connected to the concrete wall by using44 — 3/4" diameter Kwik Bolt II anchors by
Hilti corporation with a minimum embedment of 3 'A" into the concrete:
