Ordinance No. 72-66A CITY OF TIGARD, OREGON ORDINANCE No.72-� AN ORDINANCE APRENDING CHAPTER ?.12 OF THE TIGARD MUNICIPAL CODE INCREASING "HE f4ELIBERSHIP OF THE PARK AND RECREATION BOARD FROM SEVEN (7) TO ELEVEN (11) MEE•BERS, AK PRESCRIBING EFFECTIVE DATE. THE CITY OF °TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section_ 1: That Section 2.12.010 of the 14anicipal Code of the Cit- of Tigard be, and the same is hereby, amended to read as follows: 112,12.010 There is created a park and recreation boar , consisu:ng of eleven (11) persons to be appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the council, not more than .four of whom ,,may �)e non- residents of the city. Board members shall receive no compensation." Section 2: That Section 2.12.020 of the MunicipalCode oftthe City of Tigard be, and the same is hereby, as follows: 112,12.020 Election of officers-.-Terms. The park and recreation board shall, amt r-sf meeting of each calendar year, elect a president and vice-president, who shall hold office for one year and thereafter during the pleasure of the board, and the board shall elect a secretary who need not be a member of the board, and the secretary shall keep accurate records of all board proceedings." "The terms of office of all members of the board shall be four (4) years to expire December 31, EXCEPT that at the first meeting of the board in the year 1973, the four additional, memberships added to the board by the terms of this ordinance shall choose their first terms of office beginning January 1, 1973 by lot as follows: nne for a term of one year One for a term of two years One for a term of three years t One for a term of four years 'After the first meeting of the park and recreation board In the year 1973, the president of the board shall notify the mayor and council in writing of the allotted term of office of each additional member and the remaining term of each pre-existing member, Any vacancy shall be filled by the mayor for the unexpired portion of the term. The (� records of the park and recreation board shall be cur- rently maintained to reflect the beginning and ending date of the term of off9ce of each member.
